Terms of Use
Last updated: 6 July 2026
These terms govern your use of SimLab. By creating an account or using the service, you accept the terms. If you use SimLab through your employer, the agreement between SimLab and the organization may contain supplementary provisions.
1. About the service
SimLab is an AI-powered training simulator for conflict management. Users practice demanding conversations by talking to an AI character that responds with voice, and receive an evaluation and feedback after each session. The service is delivered in the browser and is offered primarily to organizations for training their employees.
The characters, conversations, and evaluations are generated by artificial intelligence and may contain errors or inaccuracies. SimLab is a training tool — it does not replace professional judgment, statutory training, or professional advice in real situations.
2. Account and responsibility
You need an account to use the service. You are responsible for the accuracy of the information you provide, for keeping your sign-in credentials secure, and for activity that occurs through your account. Accounts must not be shared with others.
If your account was created through your employer, the organization's administrators can manage your access and view aggregated training statistics, as described in the privacy policy.
3. Acceptable use
The service must be used for its purpose: training in communication and conflict management. You must not:
- Misuse the AI characters, for example by attempting to make them produce harmful, harassing, or illegal content outside the training purpose.
- Share sensitive personal data about real people in the conversations — for example health information about identifiable patients, clients, or customers. Use anonymized or fictitious examples.
- Attempt to circumvent security mechanisms, gain unauthorized access, or disrupt the operation of the service.
- Copy, resell, or give third parties access to the service without an agreement with SimLab.
In the event of a breach of these terms, we may suspend or terminate your access, cf. section 7.
4. Intellectual property
SimLab and the content of the service — the software, design, curated scenarios, and the training model — belong to SimLab or our licensors. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive right to use the service for as long as the agreement is in effect.
Custom scenarios and other content that you or your organization create belong to you. You grant SimLab the license necessary to store and process the content in order to deliver the service.
5. Availability and changes
We work to keep the service stable and available, but do not guarantee uninterrupted operation. Planned maintenance is announced as far as possible.
We may change, improve, or remove functionality in the service. Material changes that are to your disadvantage will be announced with reasonable notice.
6. Limitation of liability
The service is provided “as is”. To the extent permitted by applicable law, SimLab is not liable for indirect loss, lost profits, or loss of data resulting from use of the service. Our total liability is limited to the amount paid for the service in the twelve months preceding the claim.
Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be disclaimed under mandatory law.
7. Termination
You can stop using the service at any time. Agreements between SimLab and organizations are governed by the individual agreement, including any lock-in periods and notice periods.
We may suspend or terminate your access in the event of a material breach of these terms. Upon termination, you can request the export or deletion of your data, as described in the privacy policy.
8. Privacy
How we process personal data is described in the privacy policy.
9. Changes to the terms
We may update these terms. Updated terms are published on this page, and material changes will be announced in the service. Continued use of the service after the changes have taken effect constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
10. Governing law and jurisdiction
These terms are governed by Norwegian law. Disputes that are not resolved amicably will be decided by the Norwegian courts, with the Oslo District Court (Oslo tingrett) as the legal venue.
